Thistlewood is a family owned business nestled in the misty hills of Natal South Africa. Thistlewood has been manufacturing quality preserves, marmalades, condiments and dressings since We have since expanded our range of healthy Low GI products to include Low GI biscuits (with real fruit bits), Low GI toasted muesli with added cranberries and full Low GI fruit toppings. We continue to strive to be innovative in supplying a unique and high-quality range of products for the consumer market. The Thistlewood’s range of portion size servings can be found in all major leading hotels and airlines in and around South Africa. This range includes Jams, Marmalades, Honey, dressings, fruit toppings and condiments. Thistlewood obtains most of the sun ripened fruits for its preserves from the local farmers growing their produce in the ideal fruit growing climate of the Kwazulu Natal Midlands. Purpose-designed state of the art equipment is used in our factory. The implementation of a new packing line has been constructed to meet the ever growing demands. We use the internationally recognised HACCP food safety system to control the processes, materials, staff and training. Thistlewood was proud to be involved in the 6th Annual Ladies Breakfast in support of the Sunflower Fund. Purpose designed state of the art equipment is used in our factory, ready to meet the ever-growing demands. Our service offering to our customers includes a fully fitted laboratory which is utilised to formulate new products to customers specifications. We use the internationally recognized HACCP food safety system to control the processes, materials, staff and training.
