Coming to partake in one of the many sporting or other large events which Pietermaritzburg hosts? We offer a variety of options to suit all tastes and budgets. There is quick and easy access to all the various industrial areas and the City Centre. Also on the doorstep of the University of KZN, several private and state schools and private hospitals. There is plenty of parking on the property with space for larger vehicles and trailers. Lovely beaches, game viewing, the picturesque Midlands Meandor and majestic Drakensburg mountains, as well as some of the historic Battlefields are all within an easy day's outing. Your hosts, Charles and Margie Williams, live on the property and personally attend to the day to day running of the establishment. We always endeavour, where possible, to be flexible and accommodating to meet our guest's special requirements and needs. A true testament to your generosity and jovial spirit. The Cottage was perfect for our family and we had everything we needed to feel totally at home. We really enjoyed the lasagne as we have not had it since our Grandma made it when we were in the USA. The Melk Tert was delicious and we are glad you gave us the recipe so we can make it when we get home. We had a fun time spreading (and eating) the frosting and to see the shape of a lion's head appear. It was so good of you to welcome us into your home to chat and to use the computer to play games. It was fun when your grand daughters were there to play with us. We are so sad to leave you in Pietermaritzburg and have enjoyed ourselves very much at Ridgeway Close but we are looking forward to going home in December after a year away. Charles & Margie are so friendly and welcoming that we never felt as though we were away from home. Highly recommended for a long term stay and we will see you again in The 1 bedroom Unit A was so comfortable and offered everything we needed. The accommodation exceeded all our expectations and for a week Ridgeway Close was as close to home for us 8 lady bowlers as we could hope to get. Ample safe parking, very well furnished, equipped and serviced units and excellent value for money. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and spacious. There was a garage provided for our bikes and Charles & Margie were so friendly and helpful. The boys really enjoyed the barbeque with the traditional South African foods. Our hosts were great and nothing was too much trouble. Secure storage for our valuable bikes was available and we enjoyed a lovely evening in their home for a delicious chicken & prawn curry dinner. Margie made us feel very welcome and our accommodation had everything we needed and a lot more. The little touches go a long way to making this the best top class accommodation we have stayed in to date. The facilities are impressive and the proprietors are caring, efficient and helpful. Our group of six had a good stay and could easily have stayed longer had time allowed.
