Personal Accident Insurance cover for your child is optional although we strongly advise it. The annual fee of R110 covers your child for any injury. whilst travelling to or from school or any other sporting or extra-mural activity referred to above by a reasonable direct route. Ridge Junior Primary School was founded in 1967 when the junior primary section became too big to remain part of Pelham Primary School. The school moved to the house of the Lawrence family in Ridge Road. Eleven years later Mrs R. Weideman was appointed as the second principal and a third wing of classrooms was built. The school began a new phase with the appointment of Mrs M. Odell as principal in The school introduced an extended sports programme and a neighbouring house was purchased to accommodate the After Care in order to develop a new sports field. Ridge continues to value its reputation as a school that nurtures its children and prepares them holistically for the next phase in their education. This has enabled new teaching and learning experiences for children and teachers. We have made every effort to keep costs at a minimum for our parents. NB: The school hat is compulsory when out of doors as well as when travelling to and from school. Please note that the uniform shop is owned by the school and is run as a fundraising initiative. Ridge Junior Primary School is a family-orientated school where little people are nurtured. Each child is special and is treated as such, each with their own talent, potential and needs.
