There are various alloys of aluminium available in the world today and it is important to match the alloy you require to the application you want to use it for. Aluminium is used in such diverse applications as space craft to sewage plant scrapers. Today's alloy technology allows aluminium to be used in a wide variety of industries. For fabricated products that require higher structural properties Aluminium Alloy 6061 or nearest equivalent is used. The ampliform process requires the extrusions to be supplied in the F condition. The material is slotted and stretched before being heat treated to the T6 hardness condition. AMPLIFORM is a maunfacturer and retail stockiest of special expanded aluminium products including mesh, floor grating and structural beams. We also carry a small range of Aluminium Engineering Extrusions. The 'AMPLIFORM' process consists of slotting and stretching an aluminium extrusion. Only the fast moving products are kept in stock and only at predetermined levels. The full range of products are available ex the mill and the delivery time is dependent on the mill. We carry the stock in full panels but will cut to particular size on request. The product is created by taking a standard aluminium extrusion (alloy 6063) and firstly placing slots in it in alternate positions to create a pattern. The extrusion is then stretched wider to open up the slots. At the same time the length of the slots decreases. We have a wide variety of extrusions to produce the variety of mesh available. The finished length is determined by the ordered length of extrusion. Amplimesh can be applied to any typical mesh application. A key to the successful use of the products is the correct installation. A range of surrounds is available to ensure the Amplimesh is fitted correctly for the various applications. All designs of a structural nature need to be carried out by Structural Engineers to comply with local by-laws. Various complimentary sections are available to effect full strength joints and effective designs. 'Ampligrip' is the trade name of our expanded aluminium floor grating. We are able to supply variations in width and length for special requirements.
